Please pray for the health and salvation of the servants of God:

Parable of the Good Samaritan - F46

The icon of the Good Samaritan.  Christ Himself is the Good Samaritan Who binds the wounds of all mankind (beaten and bloodied by Satan as the Jew was by the thieves) and takes us to His Church (the inn) for healing.

for our catechumen
David O God, our heavenly Father, Who lovest mankind, and art most merciful and compassionate, have mercy upon Thy servants, for whom I humbly pray Thee, and commend them to Thy gracious protection. Be Thou, O God, their guide and guardian in all their endeavors; lead them in the path of Thy truth, and draw them near to Thee, that they may lead a godly and righteous life in Thy love and fear; doing Thy will in all matters. Give them grace that they may be temperate, industrious, diligent, devout and charitable. Defend them against the assaults of the enemy, and grant them wisdom and strength to resist all temptation and corruption of this life; and direct them in the way of salvation, for the merits of Thy Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, and the intercessions of His Holy Mother, and Thy blessed saints. Amen.

for our clergy
Metropolitan JONAH O Lord Jesus Christ, enkindle the hearts of all Thy Priests with the fire of zealous love for Thee, that they may ever seek Thy glory; Give them strength that they may labor unceasingly in Thine earthly vineyard for the salvation of our souls and the glory of Thine all-honorable and majestic Name:  of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:  now and ever, and unto ages of ages.  Amen.
Bishop BENJAMIN, Hierarch
Father Basil Rhodes, Dean of the Pacific Deanery
Father Leo Arrowsmith, our rector

for thanksgiving

Almighty and merciful God, I most humbly and heartily thank Thy Divine Majesty for Thy loving kindness and tender mercies, that Thou hast heard my humble prayer, and graciously vouchsafed to deliver Thy servant from trouble and misery. Grant us, I beseech thee, Thy helping grace, that we may obediently walk in thy holy commandments, and lead sober, righteous and godly lives, ever remembering Thy mercies, and the blessings Thou hast undeservedly bestowed upon all, that we may continually offer to Thee the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving, O Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

for the departed
Tony--Carol's friend's nephew O God of spirits and of all flesh, Who has trampled down Death and overthrown the Devil, and given life unto thy world, give, we beseech thee, eternal rest to the soul of thy departed servant, in a place of brightness, in a place of verdure, in a place of repose, from whence all pain, sorrow, and sighing, have fled away.  Pardon, we beseech Thee, every transgression which may have been committed, whether by word or deed or thought. For there is no man who lives and does not commit a sin. Thou only art without sin, Thy righteousness is everlasting, and Thy word is the Truth.  For Thou art the Resurrection, and the Life, and the repose of Thy departed servant, O Christ our God, and unto Thee we ascribe glory, together with eternal the Father, and Thy Most Holy, and Good, and Life-giving Spirit, now and forever, and for ages to come." Amen  May our gracious and merciful Lord, who rose from the dead, Christ, our True God, through the intercessions of His Holy Mother and of all the Saints, establish the soul of His departed servant in the mansions of the righteous; give rest in the bosom of Abraham, and number his soul among the just, and have mercy upon us and save us.  Amen.

Let us not forget to thank God when He answers our prayers. “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”  (1Thess 5:18)

If you would like to add a prayer request to this list, please call Father Leo or e-mail our webmaster through the link below.

If you add someone to the prayer list, we will generally not pass that request on through email, as we don’t want to infringe on anyone’s privacy.  So….if you have a pretty serious prayer request that you would like passed on to all (or an update to an existing prayer request), please indicate that in the email and, ideally, provide the wording that you want shared so that we can just forward it.
